MASSACHUSETTS CONFERENCE       April 29th-May 2nd 2018

Hello,

My name is Virginia “Ginny” Noyes Thompson, MAA, Principal Assessor for the Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. I have worked in Manchester for the past 22 ½ years and I am the newly elected President of the NRAAO.

I have been in the Assessing profession for 32 years, starting in my home Town of Newbury, MA in 1985, moving to the Town of Lincoln, MA in 1993 as their first Principal Assessor and then to Manchester in 1995 as their first Principal Assessor.

I am a Past President of the MAAO (Massachusetts Association of Assessing Officers), 2012-2013. I am also a member of the ECAA (Essex County Association of Assessing Officers) and the IAAO (International Association of Assessing Officers).

Massachusetts will be hosting the NRAAO Conference in 2018 at the Boston Quincy Marriott in Quincy, MA – City of Presidents from April 29, 2018 to May 1, 2018. “LEADERS START HERE!”

I have been a member of the NRAAO for many years now, as the Massachusetts Representative and am honored to now be the President during our Conference.

We have a great group of people helping to organize our conference including, our Committee Chair Ellen Brideau, Wayland, MA, our Vice President, Kathy Peirce, Holliston, MA, our Administrative Assistant of MAAO, Christine Purple and many volunteers that are members of the MAAO. Those members include, Bill Mitchell, Molly Reed, Linda MacDonald, Jan Dangelo, Ken Gurge, Lane Partridge, Chris Wilcock, Rick Brideau, Tina Zelano, Gus Martin, Jessica Marchant, Marion Fantucchio and Colleen Healy.  We couldn’t do it without all these wonderful volunteers.

The group has already lined up some educational choices, some social events, some speakers, golf and entertainment.

We hope that you will mark it on your calendars and be able to attend a great conference in a great location.  “LEADERS START HERE!”

I would like to congratulate the Connecticut Host Committee for a well-organized and very successful NRAAO Conference. I hope our conference will be as successful.

Please stay tuned for additional information about the MAAO/NRAAO 2018 Conference
